Freyja Gallery - Freyja (Almost)

Name : Freyja or Seidkona
Circa :
Type : Fine Art
Artist :
Medium : [ Unknown ]
Description : This is another classic painting I am ashamed to know little about. The style is scandinavian, but that may be overstating. It may or may not be Freyja. The woman is certainly representing illumination for she is halo'd in sunshine. No Brisingamen is visible. This may be Gerd, for she sits upon a mountain-top with bright outstretched arms, which is precisely what empassioned Frey so in Skirnirsmal. She may also be any seidhkona. Her exposed breast suggests a link to Freyja - but how strong is debatable.
